Quick words with Boris about the season ending and his projects.

Since the All star game there has been a lot of movement in the Bobcats; have you been able to recreate the chemistry to win matches?

Yes, Gerald Wallace left, it was difficult for the team, as he was one of our best players. We miss his offensive and defensive intensity. Every member of the team has had to make extra efforts to compensate for his absence. Gerald Henderson took an important place in our group and the new players do a good job.

Did Wallace’s departure change your place in the team?

No, my place hasn’t really changed, but as I said, everyone had to bring a little bit more to compensate for his absence.

It’s getting to that time in the season when awards are handed out. For you, who is this season’s MVP ? What action will you remember for the 2011 NBA season?

This year, it is difficult to pick just one player out. Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, all play at a level that deserves the MVP title. But personally, I would pick Derrick Rose as MVP, as he dominates all the sectors of the game and has led his team to the first place of the Eastern Conference.

Summer is near and plans to be very busy with the French team, but before that you are organising a charity day in Bordeaux on July 19th;  can you tell us a little more about it?

Yes we have an important date coming up with the European Championship that will hopefully enable us to qualify for the Olympic Games in London. But before that I’m organising a  Babac’ards day in Bordeaux on July 19th. There will be a gala match with French players, players from the JSA Bordeaux, Kameet Bordeaux and NBA players... After the match, there will be a gala dinner held in a Château in the Bordeaux region. More info will be available very soon on the Babac’ards website.

Your clothing brand UKIND was launched last year, what is the feedback?

It’s going very well, everyone loves the brand, the concept and the designs. People are sensitive to the fact that the T-shirts are made with 100% organic cotton and that they respect the principles of fair trade. The online shop works well and we have more and more sales.
